Image Preparation & Submission Guidelines

Our common goal is providing the highest quality images possible and integrating your images quickly into our gallery presentation. Therefore your attention to the following preparation and submission guidelines is appreciated.

File Types Accepted/Size
Photo image requirements are 4x6 inches at 300 dpi (file size to be maximum 6x6 inches, minimum 6x4 inches) For example a 72 dpi file at 25x25 inches sized to 6x6 inches in PhotoShop without resampling leaving the dpi and file size to go up will come out to be 6x6 at 300 dpi. Please save RGB jpg at the maximum setting.

Image Quality & Size
Customers are guaranteed a minimum resolution of 300dpi at a final printing size of at least 4" x 6". We prefer to provide them slightly larger for possible cropping requirements. All scans must be clean with any flaws retouched. We will not accept scan files that are less than professional quality. Save your images at top quality. DO NOT OPTIMIZE THEM , which will reduce quality. When using PhotoShop, save JPEG images at 12. If you use a different image-editing program, save images at highest setting.

Image Submission
We prefer that images be submitted on CD properly formatted to our requirements. Mail or Express deliver them to the following address. Please email us when you send the CDs. If Model Releases are necessary please include them in a separate folder on each CD that contain images requiring model releases. Label the name and image number somewhere on the release for our record-keeping convenience. Do Not Send original photos or illustrations.

Contact Sheets For Reference Convenience
Printout thumbnail images referencing file/image names and numbers below each thumbnail image, which must correspond to the same file, names in your CD.

Keyword Preparation
Keywording in photoshop will also be helpful but not required.
Go to the file pull down menu to file info then keyword section.
Excel spreadsheet keywording will also be excepted, corresponding to the photo numbering.

Model Releases
Model releases must be provided covering all images that include identifiable persons; otherwise we will not include them in our inventory. A sample Model Release Agreement is provided for your reference and customization. The contributing photographer or illustrator is solely responsible for securing model releases and agrees to hold Affordable Stock Photography harmless against any and all claims.
